Dilip Kotecha. Born in Jinja. My father Kalidas Jinabhai Kotecha (Damodar Jinabhai & Co.Ltd) and mother Lalitaben. Sadly my parents passed away in 1995 in Burnaby,Vancouver, Canada. I am settled in U.K. My sisters, Mrudula (Morzaria),lives in Lethbridge,Alberta,Canada Aruna (Paun) lives in Toronto, Canada Jyoti (Chande) lives in Burnaby, Vancouver, Canada Jyostna (Ruparellia) lives in Northwood, UK.

I left Jinja in the 50's for further education in England and after completing my studies returned to Jinja in the mid 60's. Played cricket for many years for JRC.Snooker and billiards, tennis, badminton at Amber Court Club. Won the Uganda open Billiards and Snooker titles. Still in touch with lots of Jinja group who are in London area. Meeting old friends at golf, sad and social occasions. Always have tried to locate old friends but only through word of mouth.

We now have the opportunity to say Hi to all those who register and live all over the world! Met a wonderful girl Nasim ( my sister Jyostna's best friend) and left Jinja in the 1970. Married Nasim in London 1970 and moved to London. I have now retired. We have two wonderful children, Jason & Melanie. Melanie is now married and gave us a lovely grandchild Luke. She is expecting again in AprilJason now lives in Dubai and is getting married in April.

We are going to Uganda in April this year after some 35 years!. Will update with photos on our return Will search for old photos and stories to tell. Good luck with the site and it is wonderful thing you have taken on! Best wishes Dilip Kotecha
